Marisa Maldonado, Educational Diagnostician

Hello Frenship family!
My name is Marisa Maldonado and I am diagnostician at Upland Heights Elementary and Willow Bend Elementary.  This year is my 16th year in education and my sixth year at Frenship ISD.  Throughout my professional career, I have been blessed to work with students of all ages as a general education teacher, special education teacher, ARD Facilitator, and Educational Diagnostician.  I graduated from West Texas A&M University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies and classroom teacher certifications in Early Childhood-8th Grade Generalist, English as a Second Language Supplemental, and Special Education Supplemental.  As a special education teacher, I decided to advance my studies and continued my educational journey at West Texas A&M University to pursue a Master of Education degree as Educational Diagnostician.
I have been married to my husband, Israel, for 12 years and am the lucky mother of two Frenship Tigers, Cayden and Ellie.  In my spare time, I enjoy crafting, painting, cricuting all things, watching Netflix and Lifetime, and spending time with family and friends.
I am passionate about teaching and learning; I am here to help students, their families, and their teachers provide ways to facilitate learning and success.  I am excited about the opportunities to help your child grow each day in the educational setting and to remind all that "Every student can learn, just not on the same day or in the same way".  Please do not hesitate to contact me with any questions or concerns!
