My name is Jill Scheer-Doerfert and I am SO excited about this year!!!  

Upland Heights Elementary is an amazing school with lots of positive energy and teachers dedicated to your children.  Since my last name is long, we shortened it to Mrs. Doerfert at school. 

 

I am the Upland Heights Dyslexia Therapist and provide therapy to students identified as dyslexic. I am a Certified Academic Language Therapist (CALT) as well as a Licensed Dyslexia Therapist through the State of Texas.  Other roles I have had at FISD include 3rd and 4th grade classroom teacher, reading intervention 3rd through 5th.  Before going back to graduate school at TTU for elementary education, I began as a 2nd grade reading interventionist at Casey when it was an elementary school.  

 

I am really looking forward to seeing my returning students and to meeting my new students and their parents!!!  This is going to be a GREAT year!
