Last week, Upland Heights Elementary fourth graders went on a reading safari. Their classroom was transformed into a jungle, as they put on their safari gear and began learning more about text features.

Each year the Frenship Gifted and Talented (GT) program uses a thematic unit of study to allow for interconnected activities and concepts. This year, the program is focusing on SYSTEMS, or a group of parts that works together for a purpose.
This week, Heritage Middle School hosted the kick-off event for the tenth year of Teachers on the Rise. Teachers on the Rise is an effort by United Supermarkets and Mrs Baird’s to recognize local teachers nominated for their work by their students.
