Hi everyone! My name is Macey McAlister, and I am so excited to be teaching your child this year! I graduated from Texas Tech University in May 2025 with a bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education and am certified to teach EC–6th grade. I grew up in Seminole, Texas, just a short drive from Lubbock, and I am so proud to call West Texas home! My journey at Upland Heights began during my student teaching experience in first grade. After graduating, I had the opportunity to teach second grade, and I am thrilled to now be back in first grade! Upland Heights holds a special place in my heart, and I am so happy to continue growing as an educator here.

 

I have always loved working with children and truly enjoy watching them learn, grow, and discover new things. Being able to play a part in their growth is one of the most rewarding parts of teaching for me. My goal is to create a classroom where every student feels loved, supported, challenged, and excited to learn.
