Hello, Upland Heights Families!
My name is Donna Vital, and I am honored to serve as the Communities in Schools Site Coordinator at Upland Heights. I have worked in education since 2022 and am passionate about supporting students academically, socially, and personally. I believe that when students feel supported, valued, and encouraged, they are better equipped to reach their full potential.
In my role, I work to help students and families overcome barriers to success by connecting them with mentoring, enrichment opportunities, basic needs assistance, and other community resources. I chose to work with Communities in Schools because I believe every child is capable of success when they have access to the right tools, meaningful support, and caring adults in their corner. My goal is to build positive relationships with students and families while helping create opportunities for every student to thrive.
Outside of school, I am a proud wife and mom to two wonderful sons, ages 12 and 15. Both of my sons participate in competitive boxing, which has become a meaningful part of our family life. I have had the privilege of watching them compete, develop discipline and focus, handle pressure, and learn to overcome challenges. Boxing is truly a lifestyle in our home! Through their experiences, I have been reminded of the importance of perseverance, confidence, and having a strong support system—values that I carry with me in my work with students.
In my free time, I enjoy spending time with God and my family, while continuing to learn and grow both personally and professionally. I am grateful for the opportunity to be part of the Upland Heights family and look forward to building meaningful relationships with our students, families, and staff.
Life is a gift—live like it!
