Students who compete in Battle of the Books read 10 books throughout the school year to prepare for competition. Each student reads the same 10 books.

 

In February, Frenship ISD elementary campuses held a Battle of the Books competition for 3rd, 4th and 5th-grade students. The winning team from each grade level at every campus moved onto the district competition.

 

At the district competition, a fact is given to the team. The team has 30 seconds to identify the title of the book and the author. Teams compete against each other until there is one team left for each grade level.

 

The 2020 District Battle of the Books will take place this afternoon, March 10 at 4:30 p.m. at Casey Administration Building.
