Frenship Foundation for Leadership Director Tiffany Taylor said Prize Patrol is one of the most exciting events the Frenship Foundation puts on.
“Prize Patrol is one of our favorite events,” Taylor said. “We take cheerleaders, pom, band drumline, mascots, Foundation members, and sponsors and we parade down the campus hallways to surprise the teachers with their grants. It’s fun to watch the teachers get excited about the new projects they’ll be able to implement in the classroom because of these grants.”
Since 2013, the Frenship Foundation has provided teacher grants to help fund materials, technology, supplies, and innovative projects that engage students and spark a passion for learning. The Frenship Foundation also funds Character Scholarships each year to Frenship graduates that demonstrate good character.
In 2021 alone, the Frenship Foundation gave more than $160,000 in teacher grants and student scholarships.
“The Foundation could not do this without the amazing support of our west Texas community,” Taylor said. “Even during a pandemic, they step up and give in a big way because they believe in our mission of enhancing education for our students and staff. These grants help fund innovative projects, technology, and supplies that engage our students and make learning fun. I can’t wait to see how these grants will impact our 10,800 students across Frenship.”
