Frenship Police Department Welcomes New Officer and Announces Promotion

Roy Bassett, Chief of Police, is looking forward to the benefit of another officer on the force to provide a strong presence and respond quickly to all campuses.

Casey Cook is a proud Frenship Alumni who brings a wealth of knowledge to the Frenship Police Department.

“Officer Cook brings over 10 years of law enforcement experience. He is a veteran officer who is ready to dedicate his time and talents to keeping FISD students and staff safe. He has a positive attitude that’s immediately apparent when he walks in a room. I can’t tell you how many times he has told me he is excited about being here,” said Bassett.

Sergeant Mosher has been serving the Frenship Police Department for the last 14 years. Anyone who has met him knows that he has been a great asset to the Department.

“As the department continues to grow, the supervision of the department must grow with it.  For as long as I have been here, Richard Mosher has been a steady, dependable presence and was absolutely an informal leader. He was already serving as our training officer and firearms instructor,” said Bassett. “It was a natural progression to formalize that leadership position when we created a Sergeant position. Adding a sergeant, specifically Sergeant Mosher, to this department makes us better and that’s what we strive for every day.”

Frenship ISD is looking forward to the impact both Officer Cook and Sergeant Mosher will have on the district.
