Haley Kirk’s journey in education started at Westwind Elementary. She has taught 5th grade and most recently has served as the Data Intervention Specialist. Kirk’s wealth of knowledge is commendable, having been honored with the Westwind Rookie Teacher of the Year award in 2018, Frenship Teacher of the Year award in 2020, and Region 17 Elementary Teacher of the Year award in 2021. Kirk is very excited to continue serving students and families as the new Westwind Elementary Assistant Principal.
“Returning to Westwind as a teacher and leader, having once been a student here, has been a full-circle moment that deeply connects me to our school’s mission,” said Kirk. “Westwind holds a special place in my heart, and I am honored to see it grow and thrive.”
One of Kirk’s goals is to create a welcoming environment for students to be successful.
“The students, staff, and community at Westwind are exceptional, and I am eager to continue building strong relationships with everyone. As I step into the role of Assistant Principal, my primary goal is to empower confident learners and foster an inclusive, supportive environment. I am excited to collaborate with parents and staff to make this school year the best yet.”
Kirk is looking forward to the upcoming school year and the opportunities it brings to inspire students, collaborate with teachers, and engage with the community.
“My favorite part of being in the Frenship family is the unwavering sense of community and closeness that has endured over the years. This strong bond makes Frenship a special place to learn and grow, and I am incredibly excited to contribute to this nurturing environment as we embark on the upcoming school year together.”
Kirk is a proud alumna of Frenship, Lubbock Christian University, and Texas A&M International University. She is married to her husband, Brooks Kirk, and is a dog mom of two, and soon-to-be mother of a baby girl.
Frenship ISD is very excited to have Haley Kirk on the Westwind Elementary Administration Team.
