Frenship’s CFO Selected for Property Casualty Alliance of TX Board of Trustees

Property Casualty Alliance of Texas, also known as PCAT, is a public school risk pool to help member districts keep property and casualty insurance costs low. PCAT offers long-term risk management solutions to over 160 Texas school districts. With over $96 million in yearly member contributions, it's the largest school insurance program in the U.S. focused only on property and casualty risks.

Farley Reeves, Frenship's Chief Financial Officer will represent PCAT Members in the Educational Service Centers. Through this position, Reeves will serve on the PCAT board beginning September 2024 through August 2030.

Property Casualty Alliance of Texas is excited to welcome Reeves to the Board of Trustees and is looking forward to the experience he will bring along with him.

“The last decade has seen significant changes in the property casualty insurance market. PCAT is fortunate to have someone of Farley’s ability to serve on the board. Farley has been at Frenship ISD for 20 Years and was a coach for 10 years prior. His experience and expertise in school business operations will be an important asset to the program and to our PCAT members.”

Reeves decided to join the Board of Trustees because he has worked with PCAT for the past 6 years and has grown to appreciate and respect the people there. Reeves shares that he appreciates how PCAT handles the constant challenges faced in the insurance market.

He hopes to bring a unique perspective and strong set of skills to the table in this role.

“I hope to bring a perspective and representation of the West Texas and South Plains school districts to the board,” said Reeves. “To enlighten other parts of the State about the importance of our needs and concerns when considering policy and decision making.”

Reeves believes that nonprofits like PCAT are incredibly important to Texas school districts because they provide numerous resources for schools.

“The motivation of PCAT is to minimize the cost while providing a valuable service to its constituents. As budgets continue to tighten, schools need every bit of support available, while respecting the limited resources that contribute to each budget. When the motivation is to be a support for others and not profit, it is easy to get behind that type of organization,” said Reeves.

Congratulations, Farley Reeves!
