Frenship ISD Names New Legacy Elementary Principal

Moore joined the Frenship family back in 2017 as a Data Intervention Specialist at Heritage Middle School working with children who need specialized services. For the last four years, she has served as the Bennett Elementary Assistant Principal where she was named the Region 17 Assistant Principal of the Year.

“I am so excited to take on this new role and get to work alongside the staff at Legacy and continue the great work that is already being done there,” said Moore. “I am honored to be a part of such an amazing campus and to be able to continue serving in this district that I love so much!”

This leadership change comes after this year’s retirement of long-time educator and Legacy Elementary Principal Carole Kidd. With Moore’s experience as a Data Intervention Specialist and most recently helping to lead Bennett, a campus with specialized programs such as Life Skills, she is the perfect fit to join Legacy Elementary, a campus that also offers similar programs.

“I cannot wait to get to know each one of the students and their families and to support them in any way that I can.  I have spent the last four years on a campus with a specialized program, and I am so thankful that I get to continue to serve this sweet population of students,” said Moore.

Moore graduated from Texas Tech University with a bachelor’s degree in multidisciplinary studies and received her master’s in administration from Lamar University. Moore and her husband Craig of 31 years have three children. Their son and his wife live in Dallas where he works as a mechanical engineer, their oldest daughter is a labor and delivery nurse at UMC, and their youngest daughter just completed her freshman year at Texas Tech as a business management major.

Congratulations, Kimberly Moore, on this new chapter at Legacy Elementary!
