The Frenship Foundation held their annual Prize Patrol celebration in late September, where Foundation board members, donors, and spirit squads paraded down campus hallways with oversized checks to present to teachers. At the end of the three-day Prize Patrol, 57 grants were awarded, totaling $80,129 and impacting students in pre-k through 12th grade.
“Each year, this celebration gets bigger and bigger, and that’s because of our incredible donors,” said Tiffany Taylor, Frenship Foundation Executive Director. “Their generosity gave us the opportunity to increase the number of grants and the amount that the Foundation awarded for the 2025-2026 school year.”
This year, teachers at all 16 campuses received a grant with some that will affect every single class on their campus. The grants also touch a wide variety of subjects, including Career and Technical Education, Fine Arts, PE, all core subjects, special education, gifted and talented, dual language, technology, and more.
“We love getting to see the unique and creative grants our teachers come up with each year,” said Taylor. “By providing these grants, teachers receive supplemental funding that truly makes a difference in the classroom and ignites a spark and passion for learning.”
As a special treat and thank you, sponsors for the Foundation’s upcoming Evening in Big Cat Country event were able to present the grants, giving them a firsthand look at how they’re impacting education at Frenship. In addition to receiving a grant, teacher grant winners are also entered into a drawing for tickets to the event on October 16 to continue the celebration!
