Upland Heights Elementary School

Frenship ISD Teacher Named Region 17 Elementary Teacher of the Year

As the award recipient, Beeles will represent the region as one of 20 finalists for 2019 Texas Teacher of the Year. State winners will be announced at the Texas Teacher of the Year awards ceremony in October.

“Fifth graders love Tiffany Beeles’s class,” said Upland Heights principal Denise Stewart. “She is patient, calm, helpful and always smiling. She’s led her students in class to create circuits, make sedimentary sandwiches, investigate crime scenes where science rules have been broken, design renewable energy posters and use iPads constantly during classwork. There is so much engagement and hands-on activity in her classroom.”

Leading up to her selection by Region 17, Beeles was named Upland Heights Teacher of the Year in April and the FISD Elementary Teacher of the Year in May. She is set to begin her fifteenth year with FISD this fall and her third year serving Upland Heights. She also taught at North Ridge Elementary from 2004-2016.

Representatives from Region 17 will recognize Beeles during FISD’s annual convocation on Wednesday, August 8 at the Frenship High School Tiger Pit. The event begins at 9:00 a.m.
