Last week, Upland Heights Elementary fourth graders went on a reading safari. Their classroom was transformed into a jungle, as they put on their safari gear and began learning more about text features.

The strategic design process is a thoughtful and purposeful planning process that represents the collective voices of the community, administration, staff, and students to plan Frenship ISD’s future.

Students at Terra Vista Middle School are doing great things and the administration and teachers are taking notice.

Last week, the Frenship Foundation for Leadership awarded 38 grants across 13 campuses, totaling nearly $80,000 for Frenship educators during the annual Prize Patrol event.

First graders in Shelly Reid’s Reading Intervention class at Upland Heights Elementary learned about the events of 9-11 this week.

Each year the Frenship Gifted and Talented (GT) program uses a thematic unit of study to allow for interconnected activities and concepts. This year, the program is focusing on SYSTEMS, or a group of parts that works together for a purpose.

Adilyn Love just graduated from Frenship High School in 2021, and after being a part of the Ready, Set, Teach program, was recently hired at Legacy Elementary as the P.E. assistant.

This week, Heritage Middle School hosted the kick-off event for the tenth year of Teachers on the Rise. Teachers on the Rise is an effort by United Supermarkets and Mrs Baird’s to recognize local teachers nominated for their work by their students.

Traci Sexton, second grade teacher at Crestview Elementary, recently brought a dream to life when she wrote and published two children’s books.
