Last Friday, a few Upland Heights virtual learning teachers hosted “Poppin’ in for Popsicles,” a drive-up event for their virtual learning students. At the event, virtual learners could drive-up, see their teacher and get a popsicle.

Despite the challenges many educators are facing this school year, Upland Heights teacher Jacie Studebaker is implementing creative ways to keep her fifth-grade virtual learning students connected, engaged, and active.

The Frenship High School graduating class of 2020 presented $7,000 in donations to multiple recipients over the summer. Due to the ignition of the pandemic in the spring of their senior year, many activities they raised funds for, were cancelled.

During the August 17 school board meeting, the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees approved an order calling for a bond election on November 3, 2020. The bond election was previously scheduled for May but was postponed due to COVID-19.

Frenship teachers and staff gathered for a day of learning, development and connection.

As Frenship ISD prepares for the upcoming school year, providing the cleanest environment for students, teachers and staff is top priority.

Starting August 11 at 8 a.m., parents will be able to view their student's class schedule or teacher assignments.

On June 15, the Frenship ISD Board of Trustees voted unanimously to appoint Andrew Cox as the newest school board member. Cox fills the Place 2 vacancy on the board after the resignation of Brandon Autrey earlier this month.
