Each year, the Volunteer Center of Lubbock hosts the Cornucopia Luncheon to recognize outstanding volunteers in the Lubbock community. This year, the honorees for Individual Child, Individual Youth and Family all have Frenship ties.

Red Ribbon Week was celebrated across the campuses of FISD last week encouraging students to be drug free.

Elementary campuses across FISD have looked quite festive in the past few days with an endless variety of decorated pumpkins lining the hallways. Carved, painted and embellished, hundreds of pumpkins have made their way into campus-wide contests with participants playing to win!

Upland Heights Elementary hosted Electives Day last Friday where several community members came out to their school to demonstrate careers to students.

Frenship ISD received the America’s Farmers Grow Rural Education grant from the Monsanto Fund in the amount of $10,000.

Seven out of the eight Frenship elementary schools participated in the “Leaders ‘R Us” Workshop sponsored by the Texas Elementary Principals and Supervisors Association.
