Hello, Second Grade Families! I am beyond excited to SERVE alongside the families, staff, and students at Upland Heights Elementary each year! I began teaching in 2008 after receiving a Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education from Texas Tech University. My experience includes teaching kindergarten for six years, owning a licensed in-home daycare for three years, teaching first grade for two years, and virtual fourth grade for one year. In 2019, I completed a Master’s Degree in Educational Leadership from WTAMU. 

 

My family is my pride and joy! I have been married to my husband since 2007. He is a “jack of all trades”, but his favorite is being a Firefighter - his true servant’s heart encourages mine to grow every day. We have three beautiful children who are Frenship Tigers serving alongside each other and making our lives joyful each day. We also have two spoiled Miniature Dachshunds and two fluffy Ragdoll cats who all stay home and sleep all day!

 

My professional passion is in building life-long relationships with students and families while facilitating the maximum amount of social, emotional, and academic potential in each student through high-expectations, a structured environment, and loving guidance. The mission and vision of Frenship ISD are strongly aligned with my values as an educator and parent. I feel at home here and cannot wait to meet each new student and family I am given the gift to grow with. I hope to make the best memories yet as we become a class family and navigate all the opportunities that will be presented to us as learners and teachers.
