What is the purpose of the upcoming Frenship Community Resource Fair?
Frenship ISD will host its third Frenship Community Resource Fair on April 8 from 5p.m. to 7p.m. at the Bennett Elementary cafeteria. This Community Resource Fair is a partnership with the Texas Workforce Solution to aid in educating and exposing our special needs families and our community to outside resources that are available to assist their families.
Who should attend the Community Resource Fair?
Any family who has a member with special needs is welcome to attend to learn more about the resources available.
How will this Community Resource Fair benefit our special education families?
We will have more than 21 organizations from the community that will be in attendance. Families will be able to visit their tables and booths to discover several resources such as higher education opportunities, employment for their special needs family member, housing, programs that assist with the transition out of public education, and much more. So many of these organizations have resources that are free, and we hope to connect our families with resources to help better serve our special needs students and community.
